Sweet World

Once there were two brothers called Gavin and Fenton. They never ever fight.

"The two of us have blonde hair. One morning we found a big boat.
We got on the boat and we sailed away. It took us fifteen hours to find land.

Then we found a big hole. It was black and blue.

Fenton said to Gavin; "Let's jump in the hole". So we jumped into the hole. We wondered if it would be soft, hard or bouncy when we reached the floor.

We hit the floor and it was bouncy. We looked around.
It was a place with lots and lots and lots of sweets and we were
sitting on a marshmallow.

We started to eat the marshmallow. Then we ate everything else.
When we got home, our mum asked; "Where were you two?"
We said: "We were in sweetland."

"You are two funny boys", said mum.

The Scary House

We were moving house. When we got to our new house,
a lot of bats flew out the window. I shouted, "Ahhhhhhh!"

My bedroom was in the attic. Soon it was time to go to bed.
I started hearing noises. They were like this: moan, roar, darr!

Then it said, "Get out of this house." I said, "No."
Then it shouted at the top of his voice, "Get out now."
But I didn't go.

Suddenly the house grew legs and arms. I ran out the door.
Then it ran after me. I ran across the road and the house
tripped and broke a window.

There was a bull in the field and he woke up. The house was red so
the bull ran after it. The house tripped again. The chimney fell off this time.

I got on the bus. It went really fast. The house ran but it fell again.
It was in bits. I was happy.

We moved back to our old house. It was much better.

Abracadabra

All the fairies were dancing beside some mushrooms. Suddenly a girl and a boy came.
The boy's name was Joe and the girl's name was Jennifer.
Joe tried to catch me and Jennifer tried to stop Joe.

Then I cast a spell on Joe. The spell was that Joe would do bad in his Irish test.
But I turned Jennifer into a beautiful Princess.

The next day Joe and Jennifer went to school. It was time for the Irish spelling test.
Joe did very badly. At break everyone wanted to play with Jennifer.

After school Joe and Jennifer came to see me along with the rest of the fairies.
Joe wanted to be something else. So I turned him back into himself
and Jennifer back to herself also.

They went home to have their dinner and I went home to my friends.
We had a disco. We were having a great time. Then I heard a knock on the door.

It was a very scary human called Jack D. He captured all the fairies except me
and put them in a box. So I turned him into a fish, a very small fish.

I opened the box and let the fairies out. Then we went to bed.

When I was a Wizard

It was a peaceful morning. I woke up and got dressed. My mom left a note.
It said she had to go to the shop without me, because I was not awake.

Suddenly a wizard came out of nowhere. He waved his wand but nothing happened.
Then I turned into a wizard.

My family came back and it was night time. Next morning I woke up and went to school.
I thought I could put a spell on someone and I did at breaktime.

I turned all the children into frogs. I went home and went to bed. I came
back the next day and they were all still frogs.
I started laughing so hard that the wand fell out of my hand.

It started to spin and everyone turned back so I ran away as fast as I could.
They all ran after me but I was near my house. I went into my room and locked the door.
I went into my hideout and locked that door too.

I could still hear shouting, so I had to sleep in there. The next day it was quiet
so I looked out the window, but they were still there.

Then I fell out of the window. They were all fairies and wizards. They all turned me into
a frog and since they all did it together, I never turned back again.

The Annoying Rubber

It was Monday morning. I was on my way to school. I could hear thumping in my bag.
I looked to see what it was, but then it stopped.
When I got to school I told my teacher. She told me to look in my pencil case. My rubber bounced out.
It jumped on everybody's desk. Then he went through the window.

The teacher said, "Run after that rubber everyone" Everyone ran, but they could not find the rubber.
Suddenly he bounced out of nowhere. He knocked all the Junior Infants and the Senior Infants.
Then the rubber jumped into the river.

I jumped into the river and swam after the rubber. The rubber quickly jumped out again
and ran into the classroom. The teacher ran over and caught the rubber,
threw it in the sink and washed it down the drainpipe.

The Medicine Bottle

I had a cold. The doctor said I had to take medicine.
I had to take it twice a day.

When I went to bed, I took a spoonful.
Then I fell asleep with the medicine beside my bed.

Suddenly I heard something. The lid popped off the medicine
and it hopped away.

I ran after it and I caught it. I put the lid back on the bottle.
But it hopped off again and under my bed. Then it hid under my cover.

In the morning I woke up and the bottle and lid were still there beside my bed.
It was all a dream.

A Report from The Penney Cup

It was the day of the Penney Cup Final. We did some stretches, so we were fit.
Then the visitirs came. They looked like a strong team.

But then I got my position. I was a midfield. Then we started the game.
The first half was terrible, four points and a goal down.

The second half started. I was a forward this time. I sored two points.
The second half was brilliant. We scored three goals and three points.

I was taken off then but we scored two more goals. Then we were hammering them,
so we had a feeling that we were going to win. Suddenly it was over.

We won the Penney Cup Final two years in a row. Then I got my medal.
I was so excited. That was my story.
