Church Site at Cloonmore & Garryduff

Below is the Site of an old church at Cloonmore.
A souterrain is close by and folklore says that it joins up with the souterrain just
outside the fort near our school in Logalisheen.

Another souterrain runs from the fort to the site of the old church in Garryduff.

Folklore also tells us that Cromwell attacked the three churches of Cloonmore,
Garryduff and Kilvine on the one day.

Above (& below) is all that remains of the site of Cloonmore church.

On the side of the road, just outside the ruins of Cloonmore church, is this entrance to
a souterain. This souterrain is said to join up with the souterrain in Logalisheen
and also to the fort at McTigues.
