Green Schools Programme
in Ballindine N.S.

Ballindine N.S. got its Green Flag on May 13th '08.
John Grant, CEO of Western Alzheimer's officially raised the Green Flag
at our school on Fri. 6th June at 2pm.
He was assisted by Colm Boyle, a past pupil and member of the Mayo Senior Football Panel,
also Fr. O'Connor who blessed the flag and two children to represent the large committee,
Emily Rattigan and Pádraic Mangan.
See all our photos of the day.

The children have been very busy all year monitoring our rubbish bins.
We are now recycling all of our paper, plastic and cartons.
We got a compost bin for our fruit left-overs and a paper shredder.
We collect old Mobile Phones in aid of Western Care and
used Ink cartridges in aid of Temple Street Children's Hospital.

We made animals from recycled toilet roll tubes and cardboard. See Craft
